Rocklin extended their winning streak to three on Thursday, bumping them up to 6-1. They blew past the River Valley Falcons 81-44. That looming 81-44 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Thunder yet this season.

Rocklin found their leader in sophomore Mathew Green, who shot 69% from the field on his way to 19 points. Connor Bow was another key player, putting up nine points and three steals.

Rocklin was working as a unit and finished the game with 23 assists. They posted 13 more assists than River Valley's also-impressive total of ten.

As for River Valley, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6. While losing is never fun, they can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 818th, while Rocklin is ranked 103rd).

Several Falcons players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Gurjot Singh, who went 5-for-8 en route to 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashaan Cheema, who posted eight points.

Coming up, Rocklin will be home for the holidays to greet West Park at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for River Valley, they are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will challenge Chico at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
