Corydon Central and Evansville Central squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Corydon Central had to settle for second. They took a 65-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Evansville Central Bears. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bears this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 53-42 back in November of 2024.

Corydon Central's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alyssa Murphy, who posted 17 points and four steals. Murphy is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Josie Vaughn, who almost dropped a double-double with 12 points and nine rebounds.
