Softball Recap: Fuquay - Varina Comes Up Short

Fuquay - Varina couldn't beat Willow Spring on Friday even though they stacked four runs on them in the sixth inning. The Bengals fell just short of the Storm by a score of 7-6. The Bengals were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Storm earlier this season, when they won 5-3.

Julie Selig was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two runs. Semaj Pedro was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Fuquay - Varina's defeat dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Willow Spring, they now have a winning record of 11-10.

As of now, neither Fuquay - Varina nor the Storm have any future games scheduled.
