Softball Recap: Highland Tech Comes Up Short

Highland Tech was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 5-2 to the West Lincoln Rebels. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rebels this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-2 on Tuesday.

Lily Johnson was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one run and one double.

Highland Tech's loss dropped their record down to 10-5. As for West Lincoln, they pushed their record up to 16-1 with the win, which was their 18th straight on the road dating back to last season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Highland Tech will square off against rival Burns at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, West Lincoln is set to take on their familiar foe East Gaston at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
