Baseball Recap: Butler Comes Up Short

Butler lost against Cox Mill back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Butler fell 11-7 to Cox Mill. The Bulldogs' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.

TJ Taylor was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Greyson Sheaffer, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Butler's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Cox Mill, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-2.

Butler wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 10-9 defeat against East Mecklenburg on the 21st. As for Cox Mill, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 4-0 win against West Cabarrus on the 21st.
