Baseball Recap: General McLane Triumphs

After losing to Titusville the last time they met, General McLane decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Lancers came out on top against the Rockets by a score of 4-1 on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Lancers.

Derek Taylor looked comfortable as he pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, General McLane let Jackson Kiser and Josh Caro run wild. Kiser got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run and one double, while Caro went 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. That's the most runs Caro has posted over his last nine games.

General McLane's record is now 7-4-2. As for Titusville, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.

General McLane is taking a road trip to take on Meadville at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Titusville, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Franklin at 4:00 p.m. The Rockets' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Knights have averaged an impressive 7.3 runs per game this season.
