John Gilbert was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double with 14 points and ten boards. He is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last eight games he's played. Isaiah Sanders was another key player, going 5-for-9 to rack up 12 points and five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Kingdom Collegiate Academy played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against St. Mark's, falling 76-52. While losing is never fun, Kingdom Collegiate Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 408th, while St. Mark's is ranked 193rd).
Prosper Prep will need to focus on slowing down Moses Obudo, one of several Kingdom Collegiate Academy players who made an impact when they last played. He posted ten points and six boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaleb Jackson, who scored 12 points and five rebounds.
Prosper Prep's win bumped their record up to 11-2. As for Kingdom Collegiate Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-15.
Keep an eye on the arc in Thursday's game: Prosper Prep has been dynamite from deep this season, having made 51% of their threes per game. It's a different story for Kingdom Collegiate Academy, though, as they've only made 28.2% of their three-pointers this season.
