Softball Recap: Gilbert Christian Takes a Loss

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last four times Gilbert Christian and Benjamin Franklin have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Friday. The Knights lost 18-3 to the Chargers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Chargers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 20-15 back in March.

Gilbert Christian's defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Benjamin Franklin, their record is now 6-9.

Coming up, Gilbert Christian will challenge Northwest Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Crusaders will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Knights surely won't give up without a fight. As for Benjamin Franklin, they will face off against Payson at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
