Soccer Recap: Hillcrest Comes Up Short

After flying high against Cottonwood on Tuesday, Hillcrest came back down to earth. The Huskies fell just short of the Park City Miners by a score of 4-3 on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Park City this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-3 back in April.

Gideon Kirby and Carlos Leon scored all three of Hillcrest's goals, bringing their combined season tally to four goals.

Hillcrest has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season. As for Park City, their victory bumped their record up to 7-8.

Hillcrest didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 5-0 win against Tooele on the 2nd. As for Park City, they will challenge Murray at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Park City's defense better be ready for this one: Murray have averaged an impressive 4.2 goals per game this season.
