The Week 4 California high school football schedule is loaded with plenty of big time national, regional and local matchups.

The national MaxPreps Game of the Week features No. 3 Centennial (Corona) in its first game out-of-state as the Huskies head to Nevada to take on No. 2 Bishop Gorman (Las Vegas) on ESPNU. Head coach Matt Logan's crew is 2-1 after a season-opening loss against No. 1 Mater Dei (Santa Ana). The Huskies needed a comeback last week to outlast Punahou (Honolulu, Hawaii) 50-43 as quarterback Husan Longstreet found Jason Harris Jr. with a 19-yard scoring strike with seven seconds remaining.

Top-ranked Mater Dei hosts Hawaiian power Kahuku at the Santa Ana Bowl. In last week's 62-0 blasting of Creekside (Fairburn, Ga.), senior quarterback Elijah Brown had the best night of his career throwing for 372 yards and seven touchdowns.

Other marquee games on the docket include No. 2 St. John Bosco (Bellflower) hosting St. Frances Academy (Baltimore, Md.), which is 0-3 but facing its fourth straight top 10 team in as many weeks. No. 6 Orange Lutheran (Orange), which entered the national MaxPreps Top 25 at No. 20, faces perennial Arizona power Chandler in the Grand Canyon State.
