Basketball Recap: Lakeland Comes Up Short

If Lakeland was riding high fresh off their 53-13 takedown of Carbondale Area last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Lakeland Chiefs took a 40-31 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wallenpaupack Area Buckhorns on Monday. The match marked the Chiefs' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Lakeland now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Wallenpaupack Area, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.

Lakeland and West Scranton will compete for holiday cheer at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Wallenpaupack Area, they will head out on the road to take on Abington Heights at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
