Football Recap: Quentin Klee Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Hamilton Heights

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Guerin Catholic walked away with it. They strolled past the Hamilton Heights Huskies with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 36-21. The Golden Eagles haven't had any issues with the Huskies recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Guerin Catholic got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Quentin Klee out in front who threw for 353 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 45 yards. Klee is becoming a predictor of the Golden Eagles' success: when he posts at least 250 passing yards the team is 5-1 (and 1-3 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Kolbe Klee, who picked up 94 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.

Special teams also deserves some recognition, posting 13 points in total. All came from Nick Wilson: he went 3-for-3 kicking field goals for nine points, and 4-for-4 kicking extra points for an additional four.

Guerin Catholic didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of JB Ford and James Moody.

When it comes to explaining why Hamilton Heights lost, don't look at AJ Flanagan. Despite the final result, he rushed for 186 yards and one score while picking up 7.8 yards per carry, and also picked up 40 receiving yards.

Guerin Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Hamilton Heights, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-6.

Coming up, Guerin Catholic will challenge Crawfordsville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hamilton Heights does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
