Soccer Game Preview: Mansfield vs. Crowley

The Mansfield Tigers will challenge the Crowley Eagles at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Mansfield had been on a three-game streak of scoring at least four goals, but Lake Ridge put an end to it on Friday. The Tigers lost 4-0 to the Eagles. Considering the last time Mansfield couldn't score was back in January, the team can't take the result too hard.

Meanwhile, there was early excitement for Crowley after they claimed the first score on Friday, but it was Boswell who ended up claiming the real prize. The Eagles fell just short of the Pioneers by a score of 3-2.

Mansfield moved to 8-7-1 with that loss, which also ended their three-match winning streak. As for Crowley, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-8-2.

Mansfield got the 'W' when the teams last played back in January against Crowley by a conclusive 4-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
