Softball Recap: Franklin Comes Up Short

After flying high against Oakwood last Tuesday, Franklin came back down to earth. The Wildcats fell just short of the Bellbrook Golden Eagles by a score of 3-2 on Wednesday. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Golden Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Franklin dropped their record down to 5-4 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Bellbrook, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season.

Bellbrook will face off against Tippecanoe at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Franklin will be paying especially close attention to the Golden Eagles' game: after the Golden Eagles faces off against the Red Devils, they'll take on Franklin again at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
