Creede lost to Cotopaxi back in August of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Miners were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Pirates. The match marked the Miners' most dominant victory of the season so far.

Creede never let Cotopaxi on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-18, 26-24.

Ava Anderson paced Creede's offense, picking up eight kills. Anderson got some help from Jadyn Eubank and her ten assists. Eubank was also solid from the service line: she led the team with ten aces.

Several Pirates players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Sophie Eggleston, who had 19 digs and 11 assists.

Creede now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Cotopaxi, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Looking ahead, Creede will be taking part in a tournament against Mountain Valley at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. The Miners are facing the Wolves at the right time seeing as the Wolves are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Cotopaxi, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Florence on the 2nd.
