Recap: Utopia Buffaloes vs. Brackett Tigers
After a string of five wins, the Utopia Buffaloes's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a 43-31 hit to the loss column at the hands of Brackett. Utopia has struggled against Brackett recently, as their match on Saturday was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.
Utopia's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Taylor Wiekamp, who scored 7 points along with 6 assists. Charlie Leman was another key contributor, scoring 6 points along with 10 rebounds.
Utopia's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Brackett, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-1.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Knippa the next time they take the court. Utopia will head out to face Knippa at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, while Brackett will host them at 7:00 p.m. on December 12th.
