Volleyball Recap: Munster Comes Up Short

Munster was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lafayette Jefferson Bronchos. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Mustangs of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Munster was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Lafayette Jefferson work for it, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-21.

AJ Horin paced Munster's offense, picking up seven kills. Horin got some help from Paul Harkenrider and his 11 assists. Aden Murphy controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Munster's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Lafayette Jefferson, the win keeps they at an undefeated 5-0.

Munster didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Kankakee Valley on the 14th. As for Lafayette Jefferson, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Lawrence North on the 15th.
