Football Recap: Shelbyville Central Drops Season-High Score on Hendersonville + How To Watch

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Shelbyville Central). They walked away with a 42-31 victory over the Hendersonville Commandos on Thursday. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Golden Eagles with their most commanding win of the season.

Torrion Mathis had a dynamite game, rushing for 183 yards and three touchdowns on only nine carries. Those 183 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Robert Bailey also helped out as he racked up 103 rushing yards.

Shelbyville Central's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Hendersonville, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.

Coming up, Shelbyville Central will be playing in front of their home fans against Coffee County Central on Thursday. The Golden Eagles are facing the Red Raiders at the right time seeing as the Red Raiders are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Hendersonville, they are taking a road trip to challenge Beech at 7:00 p.m. on the 31st. The Buccaneers will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Commandos surely won't give up without a fight.
