Volleyball Recap: Merino Find Success

Merino won the last time they faced Wiggins and things went their way on Saturday too. The Rams came out on top in a nail-biter against the Tigers, sneaking past 2-1.

Merino had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The match finished with set scores of 26-28, 25-10, 16-14.

Kya Piel was a one-woman wrecking crew as she had 25 digs. That's the most digs she has posted since back in November of 2024.

Merino's win bumped their record up to 16-2. As for Wiggins, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-6.

Coming up, Merino will challenge Caliche at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wiggins, they have already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Sterling on the 18th.
