Softball Recap: Gunn Starts Season with Victory Against Prospect

Gunn took care of business in their home opener (barely) on Wednesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Prospect Panthers 7-5. The Titans haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

The team relied heavily on Tess Bogart, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3. Allison Novick was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gunn will welcome Del Mar at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Prospect, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Panthers take on the Cougars at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Prospect is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak dating back to last season.
