Basketball Recap: Sharpstown Comes Up Short

Sharpstown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 29th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were dealt a 46-3 loss at the hands of the Galena Park Yellowjackets. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Apollos this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 48-18 back in December of 2024.

Galena Park got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Savannah Roberts out in front who posted 13 points and three steals. Roberts has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last three times she's played. Julissa Montano was another key player, putting up eight points.

Sharpstown's defeat dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Galena Park, they pushed their record up to 13-11 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Sharpstown will square off against Westbury at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Galena Park, they will face off against Waltrip at 8:30 p.m. on Friday.
