Football Recap: Whittier Christian Takes a Loss

Whittier Christian had lost seven straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped down to 2-6 to make it eight. They were beaten by the Western Christian Fighting Lancers 55-20. The Heralds were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Fighting Lancers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

As for Western Christian, the win keeps them at an undefeated 8-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 45.5 points this season.

Andrew Barber was a one-man wrecking crew as he rushed for 102 yards and two TDs on only seven carries.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Whittier Christian is set to challenge their familiar foe Linfield Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Western Christian will take on rival Arrowhead Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
