Lyford waltzed into their match on Tuesday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the IDEA Riverview Rockets 60-29. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 50-27 back in December of 2024.

Despite the loss, IDEA Riverview saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Oziel Escobedo posted 12 points. That was a full 41.4% of IDEA Riverview's points, marking the third time in a row he's put up more than a third of the team's points.

Lyford has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a massive bump to their 16-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.9 points per game. As for IDEA Riverview, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-8.

Lyford didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 53-49 win against Rio Hondo on the 17th. As for IDEA Riverview, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 50-31 victory against IDEA Robindale on the 17th.
