Softball Game Preview: West Prairie Cyclones vs. Bushnell-Prairie City Spartans

West Prairie has gone a perfect 3-0 against Bushnell-Prairie City recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Cyclones will be playing at home against the Spartans at 10:00 a.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses for West Prairie and 22 for Bushnell-Prairie City dating back to last season.

West Prairie came up short against Camp Point Central on Thursday, falling 16-2.

West Prairie saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Addalyn Stanberry, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2.

Meanwhile, Bushnell-Prairie City lost 20-1 to Knoxville on Thursday.

Bushnell-Prairie City's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for West Prairie, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 0-5.

West Prairie took their victory against Bushnell-Prairie City in their previous meeting back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 9-0 score. Will the Cyclones repeat their success, or do the Spartans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
