Soccer Game Preview: Vintage vs. Napa

The Vintage Crushers will square off against the Napa Grizzlies at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Napa will be up against a hot Vintage team: the squad just extended their winning streak to five. Vintage never let Sonoma Valley onto the board and left with a 3-0 win on Wednesday. Considering the Crushers have won five contests by more than two goals this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

James Stuart and Henry Drozdowicz scored all three of Vintage's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 28 goals.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Napa, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Petaluma with a sharp 3-0 victory on Friday.

Vintage is also on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-2-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 25 goals over those eight games. As for Napa, their win bumped their record up to 8-5-3.
