Volleyball Recap: Desert Falls to Antelope Valley in First Game of Season

Desert had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They came up short against the Antelope Valley Antelopes on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Scorpions haven't had much luck with the Antelopes recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-12, 25-18.

Desert's offense was headlined by Ayden Nguyen and Arturo-Andrei Caraig, who picked up four kills apiece. They got some help from Benny Baladez and his seven assists. Nguyen and Caraig didn't slow down when it came to serving: they led the team with three apiece.

Desert will host Antelope Valley at 4:00 p.m. on February 28th. As for Antelope Valley, they have already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against The Palmdale Aerospace Academy on the 20th.
