Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Genoa Area). They never let the Northwood Rangers get on the board and left with a 12-0 win on Wednesday. Given Genoa Area's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio soccer rankings (they are ranked 84th, while Northwood are ranked 519th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Genoa Area pushed their record up to 9-0-3 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 26 goals over those three matchups. As for Northwood, their record is now 0-16.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Genoa Area will face off against Evergreen at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Northwood, they will square off against Perkins at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
