Softball Recap: Merritt Island Christian Takes a Loss

Merritt Island Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Space Coast Vipers, falling 14-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vipers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-3 back in March.

Merritt Island Christian saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Keri Shea, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI. Another was Parker Morrison, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run.

Merritt Island Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Space Coast, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.

Merritt Island Christian will square off against City of Life Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Space Coast, they will take on Satellite at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
