Basketball Recap: Sebastian Baker's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Arcata over Enterprise

Arcata was the 55-45 winner over Enterprise when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Tigers came up short against the Hornets on Saturday, falling 59-36. The matchup marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Several Tigers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Sebastian Baker, who posted nine points. San-Tas Bommelyn also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.

Enterprise got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Julian Turner out in front who almost dropped a double-double with 13 points and nine boards. Turner is crushing it when it comes to rebounds: he's pulled down at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Jakye Rawls, who put up 13 points.

Arcata now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Enterprise, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Looking ahead, Arcata will take on Red Bluff in a tournament on Thursday. As for Enterprise, they are headed away from home for the first time to face off against Mt. Shasta at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
