Softball Recap: Marianna Bulldogs vs. North Bay Haven Academy Buccaneers

Marianna had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They walked away with a 6-3 victory over the North Bay Haven Academy Buccaneers on Wednesday. That's more bragging rights for Marianna, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Kennedy Temples spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on five hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't pitched less than five innings every time she's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Marianna let Amarii Spires and Murphy Mitchell loose on the outfield. Spires scored two runs and stole four bases while going 2-for-3, while Mitchell scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
