Basketball Recap: Midview Falls Despite Big Games from Leila Morgan and Hunter Crum

Midview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 57-32 to the Elyria Pioneers. The Middies were down 47-25 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Despite the defeat, Midview had strong showings from Hunter Crum, who posted 12 points and eight boards, and Leila Morgan, who scored eight points and ten rebounds.

Midview's loss dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Elyria, their victory ended a 14-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-13.

Midview didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 66-25 defeat against Olmsted Falls on the 18th. As for Elyria, they will venture away from home to challenge Avon at 7:00 p.m. on January 22nd. Avon will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Elyria surely won't give up without a fight.
