Basketball Recap: Pearl River Central Comes Up Short

Pearl River Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were beaten by the West Jones Mustangs 50-20. While losing is never fun, the Blue Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 214th, while the Mustangs are ranked 24th).

Pearl River Central's loss dropped their record down to 4-11. As for West Jones, their win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pearl River Central will head out to take on Hattiesburg at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for West Jones, they will head out on the road to face off against Forest Hill at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
