Softball Recap: Las Lomas Comes Up Short

Las Lomas lost against Acalanes back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Las Lomas Knights lost 17-7 to the Acalanes Dons. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kylie Liberman and Angelina Cagiga did some serious damage despite the final result: Liberman went 2-for-3 with one home run and four RBI, while Cagiga went 1-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Paige Bamford was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Las Lomas lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Las Lomas' record is now 1-3. As for Acalanes, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Las Lomas will square off against Bishop O'Dowd at 4:30 p.m. on March 13th. As for Acalanes, they will head out to face off against Pinole Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
