Softball Recap: South Summit Takes a Loss

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three contests, South Summit finally came back down to earth on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Union Cougars by a score of 2-1. The game marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

South Summit's defeat dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Union, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-6.

The future could be bright for both South Summit and Union: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. The Wildcats will look to extend Juab's three-game losing streak when they meet at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Union will try to hand Carbon their third-straight loss when the two meet at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
