Basketball Recap: Richfield Comes Up Short

Richfield was the 58-45 winner over Mackay when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Richfield Tigers were dealt a 43-14 loss at the hands of the Mackay Miners on Friday. The Tigers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 23-3.

Despite the loss, Richfield still got an impressive performance from Malia Kent, who posted eight points and six steals. That's the most steals Kent has posted since back in December of 2023.

Richfield's defeat dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Mackay, they now have a winning record of 9-8.

Richfield will take on Dietrich at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Mackay has already played their next match (against Watersprings), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
