Baseball Recap: Priory Triumphs

Priory won the last time they faced Harker and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Panthers came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 4-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.

James Weaver made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits over seven innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Priory is 4-2 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 3-4 otherwise. Weaver was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base. That's the most hits he has posted since back in May of 2024.

In other batting news, Lincoln Barnard and Harrison Kim did most of the damage at the plate: Barnard went 2-for-3 with three RBI, while Kim went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run. Those three RBI gave Barnard a new career-high.

Priory was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .385. They are 4-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Priory now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Harker, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-8.

Priory will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Eagles: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
