Baseball Game Preview: Basha Bears vs. Hamilton Huskies

The Basha Bears will head out on the road to challenge the Hamilton Huskies at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Basha is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak.

On Tuesday, Basha didn't have quite enough to beat Perry and fell 2-1.

Tyler Jensen was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed five innings while giving up just one earned run off six hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Parker Anderson made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run.

Meanwhile, in Friday's Canine Competition, Hamilton came out on top. They were the clear victors by a 9-3 margin over Chandler on Friday. The Huskies might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by six runs or more this season.

The win made it two in a row for Hamilton and bumps their season record up to 14-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Basha, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-10-1.

Basha suffered a grim 10-4 defeat to Hamilton in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can the Bears avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
