Softball Recap: Franklin-Simpson Takes a Loss

If Franklin-Simpson was feeling good fresh off their 19-1 takedown of Todd County Central on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wildcats fell just short of the Daviess County Panthers by a score of 14-13 on Saturday. The Wildcats were not able to make up for their defeat to the Panthers from their previous meeting back in May of 2021.

Franklin-Simpson now has a losing record of 10-11-1. As for Daviess County, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-3.

Coincidentally, Franklin-Simpson and Daviess County will both be playing Christian County the next time they take the field. The Panthers will host the Colonels at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Wildcats will play them later in the day, at 2:00 p.m.
