Paint Valley and Adena are an even 3-3 against one another since April of 2022, but likely not for long. The Bearcats will head out on the road to square off against the Warriors at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Paint Valley fell victim to Westfall and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mustangs.

Meanwhile, Adena was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They came up short against Wheelersburg, falling 7-0.

Paint Valley's loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Adena, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-6.

Paint Valley came out on top in a nail-biter against Adena in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, sneaking past 6-4. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bearcats since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
