There's no place like home for Raceland, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They blew past Reavis 15-1 on Thursday. Considering Raceland has won six matches by more than nine runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Carly Fannin was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. Those stolen bases marked the first that she snagged this season. Lily Poplin was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
Raceland always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .538. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Reavis only posted an OBP of .304.
Raceland's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-2. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.4 runs over those games. As for Reavis, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 6-6 record.
Looking ahead, Raceland will challenge Anderson at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. As for Reavis, they will square off against Blue Island Eisenhower at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
