Softball Recap: Lafayette Comes Up Short

Lafayette fell victim to Sunset Park and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They came up short against the HEAT, falling 18-0. If the Patriots were looking for revenge after losing 14-2 to the HEAT when the teams met back in April of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Lafayette's defeat dropped their record down to 1-2. As for Sunset Park, the win keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

Lafayette and Brooklyn Studio, coming up, after both having extra time off, will shake off the rust and duke it out at 4:00 p.m. on the 14th. Sunset Park will be paying especially close attention to the Patriots' game: after the Patriots face off against Brooklyn Studio, they'll take on Sunset Park again at 4:00 p.m. on the 16th.
