Softball Recap: West Carter Takes a Loss

West Carter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Elliott County Lions. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since May 20, 2024, but that streak is no more.

West Carter's loss dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Elliott County, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 7-13 record.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. West Carter will take on East Carter at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Elliott County, they will square off against Russell at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
