Baseball Recap: Scottsboro Victorious

The third road matchup was the charm for Scottsboro, as they earned their first road win of the season. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Fairview Aggies on Saturday, sneaking past 9-8.

Scottsboro has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.2 runs over those games. Fairview's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. We've got a battle between Wildcats coming up. Fort Payne will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Scottsboro surely won't give up without a fight. As for Fairview, they will be playing at home against Hanceville at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
