Lexington has gone 9-1 against Belmont recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Minutemen are taking a road trip to face off against the Marauders at 4:15 p.m. Lexington will be strutting in after a win while Belmont will be coming in after a defeat.

Lexington took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. Everything went their way against Winchester as they made off with a 13-1 victory. Considering the Minutemen have won four matches by more than eight runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 13 runs the game before, Belmont was a bit more limited in their contest on Tuesday. They took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Westport.

Olivia Ormond spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on 11 hits and racked up 14 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Josie Kim was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Amelia Ormond, who went 3-for-4 with one double.

Lexington is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Belmont, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-6 record this season.

Lexington couldn't quite finish off Belmont when the teams last played back in April and fell 2-0. Can the Minutemen avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
