Basketball Recap: Lyndon Comes Up Short

Lyndon suffered their biggest loss since February 6, 2024 on Friday. They were beaten by the Osage City Indians 51-21. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 94th, while the Indians are ranked 20th).

Lyndon's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-3. As for Osage City, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-1.

Lyndon will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Crest on January 28th. Osage City also won't see the court for a while: their next match is against Ottawa at 6:00 p.m. on January 28th. Osage City's defense has only allowed 27.7 points per game this season, so Ottawa's offense will have their work cut out for them.
