Recap: Logan Wildcats vs. Ripley Vikings

The Logan Wildcats lost against the Ripley Vikings back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Logan ended up on the wrong side of a rough 63-39 walloping at the hands of Ripley. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Logan has scored all season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Ripley to victory, but perhaps none more so than Erin Ryan, who scored 21 points along with six assists. Those six assists set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Abigail Eastman, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 15 rebounds.

Logan now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Ripley, they pushed their record up to 4-3 with that win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Logan won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Scott at 7:00 p.m. on December 29, 2023. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in West Virginia (Scott is ranked 65th, while Logan is ranked 57th). As for Ripley, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Linsly at 7:00 p.m. Linsly has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 30.
