Softball Recap: Hidden Valley's Luck Changes for the Better on Thursday

After low-scoring totals in their previous three contest, Hidden Valley brought some dynamite into their most recent game. Everything went their way against the Patrick Henry Patriots on Thursday as they made off with a 19-1 victory. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Titans as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

ALEXIS MCFARLAND made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in April of 2024. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

In other batting news, Hidden Valley got a massive performance out of CAMLYN MORSTAD, who went 3-for-4 with four runs, three RBI, and two doubles. Those two doubles gave MORSTAD a new career-high. CARLIE PLUNKETT was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs, two doubles, and one stolen base.

Hidden Valley's victory bumped their record up to 7-10. As for Patrick Henry, they are on a 17-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-21.

Hidden Valley will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Patriots: the pair will be back at it again later today.
