            Softball Preview: Sehome Mariners vs. Burlington-Edison Tigers        
        
		
        
        
            The Sehome Mariners will take on the Burlington-Edison Tigers at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Sehome has given up an average of 11.4  runs per game this season, but Thursday's  game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Sehome lost  22-5 to Mt. Baker on Monday. The  contest marked the Mariners' lowest-scoring  match so far this season.
  Jacinta Lewis made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  scored two  runs while going 3-for-3.
 Meanwhile,  winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Burlington-Edison). They put the hurt on Anacortes with a sharp  10-2 victory on Tuesday. The  win was some much needed relief for the Tigers as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
 Sehome now  has a losing record of 3-4. As for Burlington-Edison, their  victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 2-6-1.
 Sehome might still be hurting after the  13-3 defeat they got from Burlington-Edison  when the teams last played  back in May of 2024. Can the Mariners avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
