Soccer Recap: George C. Marshall Comes Up Short

George C. Marshall was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 4-1 to the Wakefield Warriors. While losing is never fun, George C. Marshall can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 222nd, while Wakefield are ranked 98th).

George C. Marshall's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7-2. As for Wakefield, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-2-2.

George C. Marshall wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next game, a 3-1 loss against Herndon on the 2nd. As for Wakefield, they have also already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against Washington-Liberty on the 2nd.
