Volleyball Recap: Palmetto Falls Short of Southwest in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Palmetto can now relate to. They came up short against the Southwest Eagles on Thursday, falling 3-0. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Shia Decastro was the offensive standout of the game as he had 12 digs and four assists. Those 12 digs gave him a new career-high.

Palmetto's loss dropped their record down to 13-12. As for Southwest, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 15 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-5 record this season.

While Palmetto had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
